Abstract

The spectacular effects produced by firecrackers and rockets are based on the science. They can therefore be used as an unusual and attractive didactic resource for chemistry learning. What we intend is to extend scientific knowledge and to increase the interest of students towards chemical reactions related to daily life situations. The suggested experiments have been carried out by students and presented to varied audiences in science fairs.
