Abstract

Chemistry teaching is a complex task: its syllabus is very abstract and the traditional methods used to teach it make students lose interest and motivation in lessons, up to the point of not accomplishing proper learning results. This article describes an activity designed for 3rd and 4th grade Secondary School students. Its main aim is to motivate the study of the periodic table of elements in an easy, fun and entertaining way. It iss also intended that with this activity, students learn symbols and names of the different elements of the periodic table in a different language in a simple and entertaining way, in addition to acquiring oral proficiency in different languages.
