Abstract The article is a personal reflection on the introduction of conceptions and alternative conceptions in the field of chemistry throughout schooling, from early childhood education to high school. It analyzes the five basic points that, in the opinion of the author, should be assumed in the education of chemistry, as well as the fundamental laws of chemical science that should be well established at the end of schooling, and how they can be introduced taking into account the possible conceptions present in the students.
