Making Words with Chemical Symbols: a game for a transversal learning Authors Santiago Álvarez Reverter Universitat de Barcelona Keywords: Atomic symbols, language, palindromes, periodic table. Abstract The use of atomic symbols to make words may be both a game and a learning tool of language and of the periodic table. This work analyses the possibilities of an elemental language in which only elemental words are used, i.e., words made up exclusively by chemical symbols. Examples of activities that can be carried out in this context are proposed, such as making palindromes, elaborating the menu of a restaurant or writing a short poem.
