Abstract In the final year of chemistry at high school, each term we work on an activity to improve the communicative competence of students in different scientific creation formats. In this article, we present an activity that ends with a scientific congress in which students show through posters the result of their research on the presence of colours in food. Companies from the food colouring sector collaborated by receiving visits from students.
