Entre la retòrica i la realitat: Juventudes de la Sección Femenina. València (1945-1975) Authors María del Carmen Agulló Díaz Abstract The Sección Femenina, political association devoted during forty years to the education of Spanish women, is today forgotten by the society. This fact has taken us to inquire into the reasons for what we consider the failure of the Falangist model in the socialisation of women. For this reason, and through the study of the youth of the Seccion Femenina in the province of Valencia, we discover the inherent contradictions between its theoretical discourse (the rhetoric) and its educational practices. Through the memories of those women where its influence was exerted (the reality) we show the incoherencies that we pinpoint as the main reasons for its errors.
