Abstract

This article offers a review of the historiography of the University of the Estudi General of Barcelona, presenting the main works that have addressed the history of the institution in particular, as well as the contributions of the historiography of Catalan universities in general. The article updates the bibliography published on the subject of study over the past twenty years and reflects on the state of research.
