El Léxico de los documentos alfonsíes Autors/ores Maria Nieves Sánchez González de Herrero Resum This paper is an attempt to offer a general analysis of the lexis of the documents of the chancery of Alfonso X, assess their value for historical lexicography and the history of the Spanish language, but above all show how the lexical level manifests variation similar to that found at the phonetic and morphological level in the sense that variants are used that bear a relationship to the target language of the documents.
