«Cant per Estalin» (ca. 1962), un poème de Jean Boudou oublié par les éditeurs de son œuvre poétique. Essai de lecture

Resum

Cant per Estalin, a poem from the unpublished collection Libre pel meu amic, was written by Jean Boudou around 1962 and then printed posthumously in 1980 and 1990. The poem is a reaction to the transfer of Stalin’s remains from the Lenin mausoleum to the necropolis in the Kremlin on the night of 31 October / 1 November 1961. Rather than a vindication of Stalin, it is a critique of the destalinization and reorientation undertaken by Khrushchev, nay a personal tribute showing attachment and loyalty. The poem has an autobiographical slant, central to Boudou’s work, and evokes the characteristic sense processes in his literary output. We propose a detailed interpretation of this offering, which is unique to contemporary Occitan literature, and was unfortunately ignored by the editors of his volume of poetry (2010) for some unknown reason.
