Abstract

L'any 2004 Ben Green i Terence Tao van anunciar la demostració d'un resultat fonamental conjecturat per Lagrange fa prop de dos-cents anys: els nombres primers contenen progressions aritmètiques arbitràriament llargues. Aquest article conté el context històric d'aquest resultat en les investigacions sobre els nombres primers i pretén descriure de manera entenedora les idees generals d'aquesta demostració.
