Abstract

Some names of fish and crustaceans present in the Regimen quartane and in the Regimen podagre, attributed to Arnau de Vilanova, as well as in the Regimen sanitatis by the four masters of the university of Montpellier, and to the Tabula que medicum informant by Stephanus Arlandi, are Latinised words from Occitan words, whose meaning and origin are studied here vis-à-vis the probable common origin of all these texts from the School of Medicine of Montpellier.
