Mujeres y literatura de los medioevos ibéricos : voces, ecos y distorsiones

Resum

Most of the studies devoted to the medieval writers have focused on the exhumation of sources and on the rhetorical analysis of literary and gender difference. Their objectives usually entail the wish to build a specific poetics based on preserved testi-monies and the definition of a secular feminine genealogy. This approach may not substantially affect our perception of the cultural spheres with a larger written output, but it is hardly fruitful in the Hispanic kingdoms, for which we have scant testimonies predating the 15th century in either Latin or Romance languages. Nevertheless, in the Iberian Peninsula we possess another vigorous cultural tradition (Arabic-Andalusian) which has hardly yet been reinterpreted comparatively and which is of undeniable magnitude not only because of its specific weight but also because of its exceptional value for a better understanding of the configurations of the selfsame literatures of the Ibero-Romance medieval period.
