[Feminisms of the XXIst Century] Authors Pilar Rahola Carme Valls Keywords: invisibility, sexism, male imagination, female dependence Abstract The two women invited to participate in the representation of Lectora 11 shed a light on the ongoing invisibility of women and their sufferings. Whereas Pilar Rahola highlights the consequences of sexual racism (absolute segregation, female dependence and even slavery for some 700 million women all over the world), Carme Valls explains that in the medical world, still dominated by men, women and their diseases are not taken into account. Women are victims of their own body, which gave men an excellent excuse to turn them into inferior human beings who need to be controlled. However, women’s mental health is even more damaged due to the incompatibility between real women and the female roles ale imagination has created for them. Although modern technology offers the possibility to be informed at all times on all the corners of the world, women are still not seen nor heard.
