Dead but no mute. The Rethorics of Revealing in CSI Authors Meri Torras Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona Abstract This paper presents the narratives than run through the American TV series Crime Scene Investigation and locates the role of the dead body in that text. In a distinctive rewriting of the forensic tradition, dead bodies form a readable text destined to those people who possess a particular knowledge and who can contribute to unveil truth, restore order and, in a panoptical mode, dissuade possible offenders and promise justice for the victims.
