Reflections on Exclusion. (Notes for a roundtable about Passion and Freedom) Authors Victoria Sau Universitat de Barcelona Abstract Through these notes, Victoria Sau thinks about the concept of "exclusion" and explores the consequences of sexual discrimination where, in her opinion, lies the origin of all other discriminations: the exclusion of women at the beginning of the long chain of exclusions of humankind. By excluding the mother (matricide) as the origin of the feminine, motherless daughters of all times –Sau points out- never ceased to be a threat for the patriarchal order.
