Abstract

In this text the author exposes the process that was followed for the distribution of the Temple Order's property after it's dissolution in 1312, focusing on Catalunya and its different states. The Cristian princes, and specially Jaume II, the Catalan king, had special interest in the distribution of these possessions and that was the reason of a long litigation with the church. The conflict ends with various covenants, one of which, the one that affects Catalunya, transfers the property to the Jerusalem Hospital of San Juan's Order.
