Abstract

This study deals through the perspective of Teatro del Lemmings singular work on the spectator with the original meaning of the theatrical viewing. On one side, the spectators eye, as we usually consider it, remind us about Pentheus voyeuristic view, which imply detachment and distance. On the contrary, Dionysus eye demands a reciprocity and a communion of the experience not by chance, Dionysus, for the ancient Greeks, was the God of theatre. Today, we need to go back to that participatory look, in order to renew the actuality of theatre.
