Dal mito al cinema attraverso il fumetto: le Amazzoni, Wonder Woman e la norma delle identitat di genere Authors Morena Deriu Abstract The aim of this article is to investigate how the ancient Amazonian myth has been recently remythologised in Patty Jenkins's Wonder Woman. The analysis of the similarities and differences between the antique and modern myths can indeed shed further light on the gender identity which is promoted in the film and based on the 20th century homonymous comics. Finally, the staging of Themyscira as an all-female society further problematises the theme of the identification and normativitisation' of the so-called Otherness'.
