Resumen

Since the antiquity, the analogies have been used as a tool to explain the properties of the substances and objects. In this article, several recently published works are analyzed proposing the use of pieces of LEGO as analogs of atoms in order to model the stoichiometry of chemical reactions for 11 to 12-year-old students. This analogy can induce several misconceptions to pupils about molecular structures, kinetics and other chemical concepts that the analogy cannot explain.
