De com l'àtom es va fer útil i ensenyable Authors Iván Marchán Carvajal Neus Sanmartí i Puig Abstract This paper presents a teaching sequence to learn a model for the atomic structure for 15-year-old students. The construction of the model is carried out through the study of relevant situations for students (contexts). The sequence of activities is justified by explaining how they help students to contextualize, de-contextualize and recontextualize new key ideas that are structured around the theoretical model of atomic structure. We also discuss a learning progression for the electronic and nuclear structure of the atom from primary school to post-compulsory education.
