However, during the evolution of the world, paints and pigments have transformed a lot of commercial and useful products for society. In this article, the goal is to discuss chemistry of paints and pigments as a guiding theme: covering historical issues, compositions, manufacturing processes and environmental impacts, and emphasizing a scientific humanist nature.
