Abstract

Educational resource NANOYOU. The relevance and the importance of nanotechnologies has grown exponentially in recent decades. The progresses in new technologies and materials have increasingly allowed nanotechnologies to find applications in diverse fields, such as medicine, chemistry and renewable energy. The impact of this on our lives has lead the Barcelona Science Park, together with other institutions in Europe, to develop educational tools to approach this field of science within the classroom. This article introduces the different educational tools, which are published in the NANOYOU portal (http://www.nanoyou.eu), as well as one of its experimental activities, which analyses the properties of nanomaterials based on their degree of hidrophobicity.
