Abstract

Over the last few years, the term competence has began to be used within the teachers vocabulary: basic competences, competence tests and competence based curriculums. But, what do these terms give to Chemistry learning? How does the term competence change the role of the teacher? The aim of this paper is to answer these questions through the analysis of an activity done in the context of 4th ESO chemistry classroom.
