Els Socis d'Honor de la ICHN, aquest any, Jordi Ribes i Rius Authors Juli Pujade-Villar Isabel Munujos Abstract A brief historical review of the Catalan Institute of Natural History (ICHN) prior to the establishment the ICHNs Honorary Member is given. From 2001 until 2014 the following people have been awarded with this distinction: Oriol Riba i Arderiu (2001), Creu Casas i Sicart (2002), Joaquim Maluquer i Sostres (2003), Oriol de Bolòs i Capdevila (2004), Mercè Durfort i Coll (2005), Josep Vigo i Bonada (2006), Jaume Terradas i Serra (2007), Pere Montserrat i Recoder (2012), Salvador Maluquer i Maluquer (2013) and Lluís Paluzie i Mir (2014). This year, the Catalan hemipterologist Jordi Ribes i Rius has been honoured, presented by Dr. Marta Goula. A brief review of the scientific merits, that endorse all the awarded, has been made.
