Abstract

The group of genera of the subfamily Ernobiinae studied is characterized by the conformation of the antennas with only ten articles and antennal club of three articles very developed and is composed up to the present by three genera, Microzogus Fall, 1905, Episernus Thomson, 1863 and Pachotelus Solier, 1849. Its content is broad with the description of a new one from Colombia, Neopachotelus n. gen., with N. pujadei n. sp. A new genus Pachoteloides n. gen., is created to pull apart Pachotelus fuscus Solier, 1849 from P. bicolor, Solier, 1849. A key for separating all genus of this group, complemented with graphic representation of the male and female habitus, antennae, palps, abdomen and aedeagus of species are also provided with data on their known biology and distribution.
