Descripció d'una nova espècie de cinípid per a la península Ibèrica: "Plagiotrochus gibbosus n. sp. (Hym., Cynipiadae)

Abstract

A new species of Plagiotrochus, P. gibbosus n. sp., is described. It is found in the east of the Iberian Peninsula and attacks thin branches of Quercus coccifera and Q. ilex. The biological and morphological characteristics differentiating this new agamic species from other closely related species are given. The damage caused by the presence of this species in centenarian evergreen oaks in the Basque Country is described
