Abstract

Pholioxenus castilloi n. sp. is decribed from Esplús (Huesca, Spain). It is well distinguishable from Ph. schatzmayri (Müller, 1910) by its body wider, more densely punctured and more microsculptured, outer subhumeral stria complete, and dorsal striae longer, among other characteristics. This is the first species of the genus known in the Iberian Peninsula.
