Els incendis forestals com a causants de l¿increment d¿erosió del sòl Authors Xavier Úbeda Abstract The aim of this paper is to present data on the effects of forest fires on soil properties and on soil erosion by means of bibliographic research. The question asked by most authors is what causes soil tobe more susceptible to erosion. Physical and chemical properties of soils, vegetation cover, fire intensity, biomass of the forest physiographical aspects of the burnt areas are analysed. Finally, three tables are presented with different quantitative data on soil erosion after forest fires. The results vary greatly, and the fact is that all the possible relationships between the variables mentioned are essential to an understanding of soil erosion afetr forest fires.
