Abstract Hypogean caddisflies constitute an important part of the arthropod population of the so-called parietal association of subterranean cavities. In the Iberian-Balearic area, 11 species of subtroglophile trichoptera are known, of their systematic position taxonomy and distribution data are provided. The work is accompanied by images that facilitate the identification and recognition of different taxa. The provided tables indicate the number of localities per geographical unit, the number of cavities from which the samples come for each species, and the period of underground dwelling ,and the ocurrence of species in the same cavity.
