Abstract

The galls of Plagiotrochus quercusilicis from the Western Palearctic and Neuroterus fusifex from Mexico are compared, as an exampleof evolutionary convergence. It is mentioned for the first time that the galls of N. fusifex can be found in the leaves. New hosts are found forN. fusifex and its distribution area is mentioned. New data on the biology of N. fusifex are presented.
