Abstract

The Plana de Vic is a plain located at NE of the Iberian Peninsula, 65 km northward from Barcelona. The rocks outcroping are Tertiary blue-grew marls with a significant degree of desertization. Some anthropic factors of this desertization are discussed here. As human species may both regenerate and destroy, some considerations can be made trying to create a dynamics able to reduce progressively the effects of anthropic factors mentioned. The modern technology may reduce all or the most effects of the desertization geological processes. Some specific actions are described to get to a new balance.
