Dades per a la flora algològica del Moncayo Authors Jaume Cambra Sánchez Abstract A phycological study of some Moncayo freshwater systems was carried out in three field surveys, at 19 sampling stations, between 600 and 1600 m asl. The water of these systems was relatively cold (7.1-19.3 °C). It showed a variable pH (4.9-7.5), low conductivity values (7-140 &my;S/cm) and a high oxygen content (7-12.5 mg ox./I). A total of 120 algal taxa, representing 61 genera were identified. The diatoms was the dominant algal group, especially on the epilithic surfaces. The desmids came second in dominance. Most of the Cyanophyceae were widespread in subaerial habitats. The occurrence of the Chlorophyta was irregular and they did not show any characteristic distribution.
