Abstract

The floristic composition of the Posidonia oceanica beds in Cala Gat is studied. The dominance of Melobesiae and Sphacelaria cirrosa is remarked. Records of Gelidiella antipai M. Celan and Lophosiphonia scopulorum (Harvey) Womersley are new to the Balearic Islands.
