El Viatge de Charles Lyell a Olot

Abstract

Charles Lyell's journey to Clot, Catalonia (Spain), in the summer of the year 1830 is described in this article. Lyell's opinions and experiences all along that expedition are narrated on the basis of his letters. Results and conclusions of his study about the extinct vulcanism of Olot are noted.
