Abstract

Present paper consists of an exhaustive compilation of most important trophic interactions between bird species that consume different flora species in restored quarries. A field study is carried out where trophic interactions of a not previously described importance are demonstrated, particularly if we consider its detection in restored environments. Each interaction is commented, with a brief description of each plant resource and the extent to which bird species interact with the resource. We discuss the implications of obtained results to habitat evolution in restored areas, key species in bird's diet or dispersive efficacy of certain bird species.
