El Sistema d'il·luminació durant l'excavació del túnel ferroviari de l'Argentera Authors Joan Carles Alayo i Manubens Josep Suriol Castellví Abstract The tunnel has a length of 4.044 m, the excavation was done between April, 1887 and March, 1890 being at the time that of more Spain length. The construction was directed by Eduard Maristany i Gibert. The length made necessary the utilization of electrical system of illumination and there were in use lamps of voltaic arch of the type Puydt connected to two dynamos of the type Gramme L5. The present communication tries to show the innovation that supposed applying this system to a tunnel with the characteristics of that of the Argentera.
