Focus and Scope

Actes d'Història de la Ciència i de la Técnica, is the international journal of the Catalan Society of History of Science and Technology, filial of the Institute of Catalan Studies, which is reviewed by an anonymous evaluation double blind, external referee system.

The journal was founded in 2008 and it was published twice a year until 2011, when it began to be published annually and online. The digital management system used is the Open Journal System (OJS), open source and free to use, which allows the journal to be prepared online and comply with national and international scientific quality regulations.

The journal is devoted to the history of science, medicine and technology from antiquity to the present. It publishes articles, research notes and bibliographic reviews in Catalan, English and other languages.

It is a journal that provides immediate free access to its contents through its URL (https://revistes.iec.cat/index.php/AHCT), based on the principle that the fact of making research available to the public free of charge favors the global exchange of knowledge.
