Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze from a gender perspective the legal protection of the family home, regarding in particular the changes introduced following the approval of Book IIof the Catalan Civil Code. It is argued that the flexibility of the rules concerning the allocation of the use of the family home can have significant gender implications.
