Abstract

The aim of this article is to examine joint custody based on the study of the Book II of the Civil Code of Catalonia. After considering its preference or exceptionality as a model of custody, its relation to the economic effects of the family breakdown is studied. In conclusion, the criterion of continuity is proposed as an alternative solution.
