Nanotechnologies have the potential to offer solutions to a wide range of global challenges. However, such potential could be impaired by numerous factors. Scientists must understand the importance of incorporating the phenomena of public acceptance and understanding when disseminating their fi ndings associated with nanotechnology, and seek a greater understanding
of forming public opinion.
