Public Participation and Landscape Planning: the Catalonia Experience.
Land-planning effectiveness is closely related to its capacity to involve society and make its proposals credible. Public participation in landscape planning processes is even more important, given the identity and symbolic values that societies attach to landscapes. This paper presents the experience of the participatory processes in producing two regional landscape catalogues in Catalonia.
