Abstract

A folio of parchment preserved in the Arxiu Episcopal de Vic, coming from the parish of Sant Esteve d'en Bas in Girona, contains a fragmentary text with liturgical indications for the days of the octave of saint Stephen and saint John the Evangelist. It was part of a liturgical directory that may be dated in the first half of 14th cent. and whose contents coincided, probably almost exactly, with those of the Girona Cathedral costumary written by 1360 (ACG, ms. 9). The fragment is a new proof of the phenomenon of parish-oriented adaptations of the diocesan see's liturgical uses, in this those of case Girona.
