El Sacramentari de Santa Maria de Vilabertran (París, BnF, lat. 1102) Authors Miquel dels Sants Gros i Pujol Abstract The sacramentary of Vilabertran, ms. Paris, BnF, lat. 1102, is the most recent of the preserved ancient sacramentaries from Girona. It can be dated to 3rd. quarter of 12th century, when the abbey undertook important remodeling works. It comes from the Girona scriptoria, and as it seems it was written for the uses of the referred abbey. It is embellished with beautiful capital letters and large images of the Pantocrator and the Crucifixion, dating frim 2nd half of 12th century and ca. 1200 respectively, added later to the manuscript, wich are one of the best works of thses workshops. During the 13-15th centuries, enriched with three supplements, it was used for the abbey worship up to the late 16th century. Downloads Download data is not yet available.
