Dom Adalbert Maria Franquesa i Garròs Authors Alexandre Olivar i Daydí Abstract Dom A. Franquesa (Moià, 1908Montserrat, 2005), priest and Benedictine monk at Montserrat, had three big passions: the history and religious importance of the monastery itself, divine cult and its rationalisation in Catalonia as well as fostering the effort towards ecumenism among the Christians from all confessions, these three ideals being by natura entangled with cach other. He was mainly a prominent liturgical expert of the Spanish episcopacy before and during the Second Vatican Council and an advisor to the Congregation of Divine Cult during the work related to the application of the conciliar constitution, «Sacrosanctum Concilium».
