The Trisagion in the old Hispanic liturgy upd ate and synthesis Authors Sebastià Janeras DOI: 10.2436/20.1002.01.89 Keywords: Trisagion, Greek Trisagion, expanded Trisagion, Hispanic liturgy Abstract Just like all the liturgies of the East and the West, the old Hispanic liturgy also included, among the initial rites of the mass, the hymn of the liturgical Trisagion (Sanctus Deus, sanctus fortis, sanctus immortalis), sung in Greek on some occasions, in Greek and Latin on others, or in Latin alone. Additionally, the Trisagion exists in two forms: a simple Trisagion (which may be followed by some brief verses) and a paraphrased or farsed Trisagion. Here we compile all the texts of the Trisagion, in its various forms, and the previous studies on this subject are updated. Downloads Download data is not yet available.
