Anàlisi i aixecament de l'edifici Authors Raúl Rubio Jordi Xiqués Abstract The making of an architectural survey should be considered an indispensable process to learn about, understand and document a building before developing an intervention project for it. This process is all the more important when dealing with interventions on buildings of historical or heritage value. One aspect of this process is the geometric and formal survey, which shows the dimensional measurements and geometry of the building concerned. Among the various possible methods (direct, indirect or photogrammetric) of making a geometrical-formal survey, this paper focuses on the terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) method and the advantages which may be entailed by working with point clouds, not only when making the survey but also in the subsequent analyses which may be conducted on this information by technical experts from different fields in multidisciplinary groups.
