Resumen

Síntesisi del desenvolupament del comerç marítim català (comprenent Catalunya, Mallorca i València), des del segle xii fins a la fi del xv. Hi són estudiats els productes autòctons usats per als intercanvis: safrà, fruita seca, panses i figues, corall, llana, pega, sèu, i manufactures com els draps de llana, la ceràmica valenciana, les pells treballades, objectes de vidre, etc. S’hi estudien les àrees exteriors d’actuació mercantil des de les més properes, com Occitània i França, Itàlia i el Magrib, fins al Llevant mediterrani o els territoris atlàntics, com Andalusia, Portugal, Anglaterra o Flandes.
