The experience of being a woman is historically marked by certain discourse and modes of socialization that are necessarily linked to her reproductive role. Motherhood, akin to silencing sexual desire and sketching a body at the service of others, tries to impose itself as the only possible way of life, but one to which many women seek alternatives.
