Resum

The maps from the 17th century of Catalonia by the Earl of Darnius From the cartographic work by Oleguer Taverner, Earl of Darnius, published in 1726 shortly before his death, a map, basically of Catalonia, has quite recently become known. In recent years, other maps of Catalonia by the same author have begun to appear, which were until now quite unknown. In this article five maps drawn by Darnius are described, and another to which reference is made. The majority are in a large format, they contain information about the communication routes abounding and almost all are manuscripts. A more in-depth study is necessary of this cartographer, bound to the Borbón cause, to enable him to be placed within the Catalan cartographic panorama.
