El Tractat dels Pirineus 350 anys després Authors Eva Serra i Puig Abstract Repàs dels trets generals del tractat signat entre les monarquies hispànica i de França el 1659. S'identifica el caràcter europeu del tractat tant pel que fa a les seves clàusules territorials com pel que fa als capítols de drets civils, relacions comercials i llicenciament de tropes. Es fa atenció al front renanoalpí, però sobretot al front pirinenc francocatalà. S'observa el caràcter de bressol de Catalunya per part dels Pirineus i no de frontera i es fa el seguiment del procés de la nova delimitació. Se situa la resistència catalana (Rosselló) a la delimitació. Es remarca la continuïtat de les guerres francoespanyoles després del 1659, el caràcter indecís de la nova delimitació i l'oferta de permuta del Rosselló per part de França, interessada sobretot en les terres de la frontera de l'est. Oferta mai no acceptada. Es remarca l'origen i el caràcter dinasticopatrimonial i militar de les fronteres europees al marge i sovint contra l'existència dels pobles.
